Our Story
Burleigh Heads Physiotherapy Centre first opened in 1986, and was originally based at Shop1, 27 Park Ave (50 metres from its current location). The current owners and principal physiotherapists, Daniel Turner and Ceridwen Way, took over the practice from Neale White, in 2001. From operating as a single-physiotherapist practice, it has grown over the last 9 years to having 8 physiotherapists, (Daniel Turner, Ceridwen Way, Glenn Lindsay, Leanne Kenway, Natali Zantvoort, Garth Lawrence, Kristen Luby and Matt Roser) and a full-time remedial massage therapist (Leesa Webb). Natali Zantvoort and Garth Lawrence share their time between our Burleigh and Broadbeach practices.
Broadbeach Physiotherapy Centre opened back in 1981, and was originally located in Albert St, Broadbeach. The practice relocated to the Oasis Shopping Centre in 2007 inside the Broadbeach Family Medical Practice. The practice was purchased by Daniel and Ceridwen in 2008, from Pat Philippi, who had owned the practice for over 10 years. Garth and Natalie are both “Members Choice” and a “MemberCare” provider physiotherapist, for Medibank Private and MBF, respectively. This means that you have less out of pocket expenses for your treatment.
All our physiotherapists are university educated and are committed to continuing education, which means you will receive the most up-to-date, evidence based treatment. Dan, Ceridwen, Leanne and Glenn have worked in their chosen fields for over 18 years, Natali over 10 years, Channelle has 9 years experience, Garth 5 years, while Kristen and Matt have 4 years experience.
Daniel and Ceridwen are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
The APA is the peak body representing the physiotherapy profession in Australia. The APA is committed to the concept of continuing professional education and requires all members to document evidence of undertaking 100 hours of professional development in any three-year period.
The APA signifies a standard of professional and ethical behaviour over and above the requirements of registration.
