Chanelle graduated from Griffith University in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a Masters in Physiotherapy. B. ExSc, M. Phty. She has worked extensively in Hospitals in Australia and the UK. Chanelle has now been a Senior Physiotherapist for 6 years and is currently in the Child Development Team under Childrens Health Qld.
Chanelle’s special interest is in Paediatric Physiotherapy, and she chaired the Qld Statewide Paediatric Network in the past. Having worked in the hospital and community based clinics Chanelle developed a special interest in children's development. She has experience in assessing, managing and treating children presenting with conditions including plagiocephaly, torticollis, positional talipes, neurological/orthopaedic conditions and general developmental delays. Her clinical assessment may also be useful in assisting with a specific diagnosis for a child. Chanelle takes pride in helping parents understand their child and assisting them in building their capacity to improve their child's function and participation.
Chanelle’s paediatric physiotherapy passion is developmental physiotherapy, but she also offers treatment and consultation for a broad range of conditions, including (but not limited to):
- Positional Talipes
- Cerebral Palsy
- Acquired brain injury
- Developmental delaysToe walking
